This was pretty cool... I just started my food storage this year and my goal was to get at least 6 months stored for my family. According to this, we are at 6 1/2 months and it is only October!! Woohoo!

The Analyzer is easy to navigate around in. I like being able to see at-a-glance what's in my storage now, & what I need to update. The Balance of Nutrition chart is a bit confusing at first, but does show if I need to concentrate more on storing a particular item.

Finally something I can use that includes all kinds of storage(freeze dried, pantry etc.) Love to look at it to see where I am,and what I still need, thank you!

This is a really great tool. It is especially good since we live in Florida.

This analyzer is such a good idea. I could make an inventory of just about everything I have in my food storage. One drawback I noticed is that for an MRE you have to list it individually. I have some but they are in a large pack with others. I could have listed them if the different emergency essentials MRE large packages were listed. This would save some time because you wouldn't have to enter every kind MRE individually. Over all it is a great tool.

I absolutely LOVE the analyzer. It was a real eye opener for me to use this tool to see where my family is at with our storage.

I thought the food storage analyzer was very helpful and interesting... I especially liked the home pantry section that I could calculate and add into my storage total. I had a hard time understanding what each column represented in the nutritional category. More clarification would be nice.
All over review if 4 out of 5 stars! Good Job!

I really like and appreciate it.
There needs to be an adjustment made to calculate the needs of pregnant and lactating women.

This tool is fabulous! I love that you can see if you have enough Vitamin A/fiber/etc. for everybody, everyday. I will be adding items with more Vitamin A into our storage. I also love that you can add your own specialty items (such as home canned items). The only thing that I wish were different is the ability to add fractional cans/superpails. I have some almost full but not quite.

BTW, emergency essentials customer support: I can't get the code to work. It won't accept, "center" or "target"

I love this tool. It is helping me to see where I am and what I need to add. My biggest problem is that I have dial-up and it takes so long to download the entire calulator. I will take it to a place where I have free WI-FI and plug in all the particulars and see where I am. Wish I could print out all on the list. Thanks for the great tool!!!
PS Tried to paste the code in but it will not accept it.

This is a great site. I don't really store up, but our family got used to shopping once a month when we were in the military and the habit has stayed with us, so we usually have a couple of weeks worth of food anyway. Keep up the good work!

this is a great site. I can use it to find how prepared my family really is. I am anxious to start storing up. I have a good month or two on hand at all times but could do better

Great analyzer. I knew I had a lot of food, but had no idea how long it would last.

How about adding more store and canery purchased goods... like canned meats and canned fruits. Also, does a freezer full of meat count? How about live animals?

I think the food storage analyzer is great! It helped me to know what I needed to work on getting next. I love it! Thanks!

proper nutrition is so important to survival, and living well helps, nothing like a fresh, hot loaf of bread with a thick stew to ease your woes in a low time. thanks for this tool

This is an advice for you that if you eat meat, save your bones! You can make a very nice soup. When you simmer poultry bones until they are very soft, they become edible and can be fed to your dog or cat. The marrow and bone are high in mineral and nutrient value. The broth will be delicious for simmering vegetables, rice or grains and makes a delicious soup as well.

At first I didn't want to use it. I took a notebook & took a long time to write everything down & it got messy when I would find another can...I finally broke down & used the Analyzer. I really like that I can add my canned food also, because it is part of it. I LOVE IT! I can go in & subtract when I use it or add when I buy more. THANK YOU!..

After watching the doomsday preppers on television, I began thinking about such a catastrophic event happening in the US. To think something like a economic collapse to our economy or a terrorist detonating a nuclear bomb in the US is to say the least, a catastrophic event with mega proportions. I think we all need to think about purchasing this type of food for survival.
